As humans, we all have responsibilities. Whether it’s to go to work every day, to pick your child up from school, or to take out the dog – each of us hold specific responsibilities that must be fulfilled on a day-to-day basis. What many of us do not realize is that we are responsible for many things in our lives on a deeper level and in our mind. We are responsible for the way that our life pans out. We are given a life, and throughout life, we must be aware of the visible and conscious responsibilities that we must keep up with. We can think of our life as a job that we do not get money for but we get happiness. Happiness is the greatest reward in life. It is something that brings great pleasure and can be the foundation of many great things in life. When there is no happiness in life, there really is little fulfillment in life. In a job, you do work on a day-to-day basis. You hit road bumps, and set goals for yourself, take breaks, etc. These are all vital for your job to function properly. What is most important is that you have a responsibility. That responsibility is to excel in your job, but in this case, to excel in life. To live a fulfilled life is the most important thing. You must make the most out of every aspect in your life to be able to successfully live your life to the fullest. Every day, you must create a game plan, much like in a job, of how you want your day, week, month, or even year to go. All of the goals and responsibilities tied into your game plan are there to make sure you excel to make every day the best it can be. At the end of each day, if we fulfill all our responsibilities and reach goals, happiness follows. If not, consequences may follow. These consequences can bring along negativity, and in the end the one who is responsible is us.
We are responsible for the way our life is going and almost everything we currently have in our lives. By just acknowledging that fact, we gain power. Responsibility is power and power is responsibility. Have you ever met anyone that constantly blames other people and things for how their life is going? Does that person seem to have power in their life? Usually not. They are not being responsible for how their life is unfolding and where they are in their lives. There is nothing wrong with this way of thinking but rather a lack of power in those individuals’ lives. If you want power in your life, I strongly suggest that you take full responsibility for your life and everything in it.
